The Million Dollar View Scenic Byway is one of the most beautiful places in Maine, and it’s just eight miles long. It runs through Aroostook County and Washington County, near the Canadian province of New Brunswick. It’s not the distance that makes the drive special, but the view. When you drive through the byway, you’ll see the top of Peekaboo Mountain, which overlooks Grand Lake and the mountainous western region of New Brunswick. The byway is a great place to see local wildlife, like moose, eagles, bears, and deer. You can also go fishing, hiking, or camping. In the fall, the leaves change color, and the whole area looks like something out of a postcard.
